Luca: My Muay Thai Fight Camp Experience in Koh Phangan

What I gained most from this experience was personal growth. I improved my Muay Thai skills, became fitter, developed greater mental resilience, and gained confidence in myself.
Luca Weiss (22 years old) shares why he chose Koh Phangan for his Muay Thai trip to Thailand and walks us through his experience training at Sor Saktai Muay Thai and stepping into the ring for the first time.
Motivation
My main motivation for coming to Koh Phangan was to improve my Muay Thai skills, challenge myself, and experience training in Thailand. From the moment I arrived, the coaches made me feel welcome. They were kind, professional, and dedicated to helping everyone improve. Throughout the camp, they taught a variety of Muay Thai styles and techniques in a way that was easy to understand and apply.
Community
One of the best parts of training on Koh Phangan was the community. After training sessions, we would often eat together, visit spas, explore local markets, and spend time as a group. I met many like-minded people from around the world and made friendships that I believe will last a lifetime.

First Fight
The highlight of my fight camp experience was having my first Muay Thai fight. It was an incredible experience that pushed me outside my comfort zone and gave me a real sense of accomplishment. The training was challenging, both physically and mentally, but seeing my progress made all the hard work worthwhile.
Challenges & Growth
The hardest part was pushing through the demanding training sessions and staying disciplined when my body was tired. However, overcoming those challenges helped me grow stronger and more confident. What I gained most from this experience was personal growth. I improved my Muay Thai skills, became fitter, developed greater mental resilience, and gained confidence in myself. Just as importantly, I became part of a supportive community that made the entire experience enjoyable and memorable.
Conclusion
I would definitely recommend this fight camp to my friends. The coaches genuinely care about your development, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you are very well looked after throughout your stay. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced fighter, it is an amazing opportunity to learn, improve, and create unforgettable memories.
